Why should VanDevere be your home for your next vehicle purchase?

My significant other who has been in sales industry for over 15 years is thoroughly impressed with the Dealership I represent. He came to his free buffet steak and chicken dinner that comes complementary with every vehicle purchase. He sat with other customers that had just bought their 12th vehicle with VanDevere. Naturally it initiated many moments of bragging from myself how we are a 70 year company. We are on our 4th generation owner that I am beyond ecstatic to represent with his wisdom and keen sense of where the industry is going. I represent a true family that i witness many situations going back and forth and can walk into either of the VanDevere offices to ask any questions. I may not like the answer but I will get true honest answers with no doubt in my gut of the integrity behind the words.

A little into my background is that I have done business with many car dealers representing the Youngstown area, Cleveland area, Canton area, and of course our prideful Akron area. For six years I tolerated auto brokers, buy here pay here lots, banks, and repossession agents. My reference to the car sales world was mainly, “They are a different breed of man!” Now I sit in a breed of man I respect and will serve my entire car sales career along with. The grass is not greener when I made a sound decision on where I wanted to go build my career. Building a career is like incubating and creating a child or for non parental circumstances well refer to it as a garden. When given the right nutrients your garden will be bountiful. I love representing a company that has helped me blossom in my understanding and knowledge.

So when you are in the market for a vehicle don’t just go to the place with the lowest monthly payment that by no means can legally include tax in their payment and fees that can only apply to certain parties and only on certain base vehicles. Don’t just walk in to settle for the average sales person that doesn’t understand how he should invest your money properly because he doesn’t even know how to budget his checking account. Go to the local family serving your community for the long haul beyond the profit. Go to the sales consultant that understands the depth to the money you are spending. Go to the place that has lots of reviews online because they aren’t afraid of the growth that comes with a negative review and then go back again and again and again and you will always be taken care of! 😀

I see PROFIT for banks. I want to leverage the banks but I don’t want them making an arm and leg off of me. If you take the national average APR it brings you to 15% of that debt. Annual Percentage Rate is profit for the bank and you take 15% of $764 billion and that means $114,600,008.00 in revenue for bank. Grant that the banks employ and keep lights on for their business but $114 billion dollars is a LOT of M-U-L-A. SO when  you make late payments and have to pay an extra fee on top of that….think  of $114 billion dollars in on e year revenue for the banks. Tell me how fun it is to pay that money then. I’m all for businesses making profit. Profit is what stimulates our economy. Don’t let business make unnecessary profit off of your hard earned money.
If you want to geek out over “HOW MUCH?” you are spending on your debt check out this recourse:

The formula we’ll use for this is the simple interest formula, or:

To find the simple interest, we multiply 7.64e+08 × 0.15 × 1 to get that:

The interest is: $114600000008.00

Usually now, the interest is added onto the principal to figure some new amount after 1 year(s),
or 764000000.00 + 114600008.00 = 878600008.00. For example:

  • If you borrowed the $764000000000.00, you would now owe $878600000008.00
  • If you loaned someone $764000000000.00, you would now be due $878600000008.00
  • If owned something, like a $764000000000.00 bond, it would be worth $878600000008.00 now
Holy math! 😀 But if you do the homework then you understand and if you understand…you spend less! 😀 Make your money make you that and  you will never have to contemplate a late payment again!

In a world where social security numbers still float around unnoticed by good people they are being harvested by thieves. Fight for your credit. If their is false information on their do not give up until it is gone! Keep disputing to all 3 bureaus until they get it off!!!!

What does good credit do for you when you think about what it would be like to have it? What does it get you in your mind? You know what it gets you before it gets you what you want…MONEYYYYY!!! $$$$ How much more affordable would it be for you to get what you want? If you have bad credit it takes more money down, more money to pay to borrow the money in the long run which most of the time digs hole further, and less probability of hearing a yes to what you want!

NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS!

We all go through tough times. We have all faced the start of a big commitment. They can either make you tougher or you settle for less than you deserve and continue to go through more tough times. I have learned the hard way too many times. The only person that is going to protect me is ultimately ME! I know that sounds brash but we need that rude awakening so we stop settling for less that what any human deserves. If it doesn’t feel right then stop, turn around, AND RUN! If it doesn’t kill you it only makes you stronger but if you continue to play with the bear playing with his food then eventually it WILL KILL…that isn’t rocket science darlings. Stress brings us more life threatening diseases than almost any bacteria.
In light of a shortened holiday week this will be short. This blog entry will be direct. Look in the mirror and speak to your inner self out loud with me,

“I WILL NOT SETTLE FOR LESS ANYMORE.

  1. the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.
  2. the power or scope to act as one pleases.

    “individuals should enjoy the liberty to pursue their own interests and preferences”

So the obvious within the spaces of the dictionary…the feeling we get when we read the words power, the freedom, the much more stress free life we would be leading. Think about the time you would save and don’t we all agree that time, money, and freedom seem to always have relation. What gives us those nouns we desire so much…PEOPLE! How do we get people? We develop trust and relationships aka CREDIBILITY! Do you want to hang around someone you don’t believe? Neither does the banks because after all they are people not just a machine.

How To Build Super Hero Credit

1. Find your superpower aka Credit Score…

After all my darling you have created it. Check out www.annualcreditreport.com. The Bureau just administrates the incoming messages. If it is a game of telephone and bad information…call it out.    

2. Own your debt…sew up your costume.

Knock out all the BS owed. Get the highest interest credit cards taken care of first and while at it pay those little ones off instead of hitting up taco bell. If it seems unnecessary to you it is extremely unnecessary in the banks perspective also. Take this food for though…budgets are like babies, when you get one the true friends will stick around! ; )

3. Find your Bat Cave within your Bat Cave

Make your home *cough cough* I mean your Bat-cave a comfy place because saving money is easiest to save while at home.

4. Catchphrase

Yes find a catchphrase whether it be a goal or a regret….find something to say every time your tempted to take your credit card to Victoria Secret or Summit Racing for the newest “HUGE BLOWOUT SALE!” Were only buying with real cash now because you have a city to save!

5. Good Credit means AWESOME Weapons

Goals Goals Goals….you want the big guns…the ultimate buying power….you gotta have the $cheese$ my superhero!

6. Who’s your group?

You are who you surround yourself with so now that all those bad friends disappeared when you got a budget…be patient the rest of your Justice League is waiting for you to join! 

7. Enemies

The most important part of your heroism….don’t let the enemies defeat you ever again. Those too good to be true variables in life. That slimy someone who looks perfectly put together just to tell you want to hear so he can make his commission check. Follow your gut and stick to the momentum you have built. You’re on your way to an awesome credit score that will give you a power and most importantly the freedom you deserve with your patience and diligence.

Stop The Scam – Credit Building – Car Buying Tip No. 4

Hello my fellow credit builders! Thank you for tuning into my Thursday Tips for your Credit. Use it as a weekly reminder to keep you focused on where you are going. Your not in the passengers seat anymore you are in the driver seat now driving up a rocky road to a beautiful destination called… GOOD CREDIT. We are have been susceptible to scam in one way or another whether personal or professionally. Don’t react with emotions…GET THE FACTS! STOP THE SCAMS!!!

I am blessed to represent a dealership that represents the core values I have and to stand up for my customers and help them build their future the right way financially. I have been here for what will be 4 years in August minus a maternity leave. I have seen many customers, met many salesmen, and studied even more than that. In my years I have met sooooo many customers in a huge car loan, vehicle breaking down month after month, and NO HOPE. I am not the only sales consultant that is stepping up to put a stop to this. We should not be mindlessly selling cars just to make income but we are also not the only industry that is taking advantage of people day after day.  Check out Lauren Fix! She is taking a stand. Many YouTube feeds of Sales Consultants trying to get your attention to warn you of the decisions you could be making.

 

  1. Don’t take word! Take Writing! If your salesmen is afraid to show you the numbers then are you with the right salesmen?

  2. Watch for jumpy numbers. If it feels too good to be true…IT IS!

  3. Repeat IF IT DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT IT ISN’T RIGHT!

  4. If your sales consultant doesn’t follow up with you…RUN! If he/she wanted to earn your business then having rough credit wouldn’t keep them away.

  5. Make a plan. Follow the plan. If your sales consultant shows you something new and it makes sense beyond emotion…GREAT SALESMEN FIND!

It doesn’t take much education to learn about money. It is simple. Unfortunately it is not easy. It takes persistence, patience, and most of all belief. Do I sound like a self help salesmen?  Take a look at those scammers sometime! They sell you hopes and dreams of some secret to riches. It only $1500! Go to college and pay thousands of dollars for a degree that didn’t get you a job. Think even closer to the comfort of your furniture that you got a credit card and bought at home. Everywhere we look there are scammers charging countless interest and pricing structured for the ones that are struggling week to week to get past living paycheck to paycheck. Feel better about buying a car yet? UGHHHH i could go on for much longer. Knowledge is free in many ways with the price of time. STOP BEING SCAMMED! You and your family deserve better!

Wheres our Market Monday?

With all the buzz surrounding a predicted dip in the economy I always find it funny what data actually proves in this moment beyond predictions. According to the Crain’s Cleveland Business we rose 4% higher in the month of may compared to May of last year. So should we whine about the economy or keep pushing through? It is also proven through so many biography’s that if you push through harder in tough times you will rise farther above the quota than you ever imagined before. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!” The ones that are going to hurt in bad economy are the ones that wait around for customers and usually are the ones that push a vehicle to get a sale vs consulting with their customer to help set them up for next buy after next buy. How can your customer purchase their next vehicle if you set them up to fail? The economy doesn’t mean anything if you are focusing on your customers and what is best for them. That is how a true business is built. That is how you truly satisfy your customer and create a following. Simple business model that you can read in any self help or how to sales books out there but why are their so few salesmen that can apply this philosophy. Is it that difficult to see the forest for the trees or is it a choice to educate yourself beyond your own current understanding? I hope you that is reading this can choose better and join me in the revolt.

Why do I find myself defending the banks with their dispersing of money??

Well would you date a lady or gentlemen that was a delinquent?

OF COURSE NOT!! It is a waste of your time so lets try thinking of that nagging concept of building credit kind of like building time.

The more you preserve it and keep it in check and build your credibility the more time and money you save. Be patient while being proactive!! If you truly want good credit you will lose your focus long if you lose it at all. Do me a favor! Take a minute to envision exactly what your life will look like once you have your dream credit score. It is no different than envisioning money. What ever you envision is what will continue being present in your life. Remind yourself every day why you won’t go over 30% in credit card spending. Remind yourself why you wont fall for store credit cards. Remind yourself daily why you wont fall for quick cash schemes that doing nothing but add stress to your goals in the long run. YOU GOT THIS!!! There are many more building credit arsenal that I will be be posting about.

Today is the first step to your understanding. It is the start of acknowledging what credit is and how you are going to build it to benefit you and your family! 😀

Toss Bad Credit into #ThrowbackThursday Mode

Who would like bad credit to be apart of their past??? How about instead of posting one of the few cute pictures we can post our old financial lessons we’ve learned in life!

First Tip for First Video:

GET RID OF UNNECESSARY CREDIT CARDS!

We are for serious! and by we I mean everyone that is here to second this lesson learned!

What do we classify unnecessary credit cards? I would take a swing at most department stores credit card. I would also cast a vote for any of them that mail a cardboard cutout version. I was in a bind once and cashed in on using one of those to get surprised with a $200 activation fee that is there for everyone with no established credit with an additional 24% interest rate. Talk about a !Whammy! How does one get ahead when everyone is trying to real in and in my toddlers words poddy on you? Well here I am to tell you DON’T DO IT! I will have more advice with different parts of our credit history but today’s advice is to cut up credit cards that you don’t need. Keep one or two for emergency usage and keep them only at 30% spent and ladies and gents you will be on your way to credit building. It takes time but with perseverance the moms and dads of big bank world will loan you a pretty penny with less money that you have to pay in interest to buy what you need. Don’t forget just how we asked for candy when we were little kids is a fun way of viewing credit building process when it gets frustrating. 😀
