Car Sales…Toxic Sales?

Image result for car salesmanThis will come as no surprise to me so let me ask you how do you like car shopping? Let be the first person to virtually high five you as you say, “NOOOOOOO!”
I appreciate that feedback. What is the worst experience you have had? How do you wish that you would of been treated? This is a judge free zone especially from this Automotive Consultant considering I began my journey to face the lack of confidence I’ve always had and to be DIFFERENT. All this talk of writing off toxic people in our news feeds but what about toxic customer service! Let’s not write off all car salesmen….. lets just exclude in our future purchases all them that do not care to grow in this technological age. Our technology has been revolutionizing the retail experience for quite sometime right now. Our favorite electric car manufacturer Tesla is taking to quite an extreme to this revolution. Do you think we ready for that as a society? Do you think you would rather take on spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle without consulting a professional?

You probably giggled, rolled your eyes, or said nice when you read my tag being “Your Favorite Sales Lady.” This idea struck me because I am the ONLY sales rep on our shiny reflective floor. I started my journey to give my customers a different experience than car sale’s reputation. So tell me your problems with the last car you bought at a dealership! I am allllll ears excited for all feedback!  Millennials, Generation X, Generation Y, Generation Z! Let’s Rock!

Car Bubble and Its Tasty Flavor

Image result for bubble gum bubble gifHave you heard about the car bubble that has been rumoring for awhile? Are we really on the verge of economic disaster just because we haven’t had any digression since 2008? I am calling bluff. As for my household we aren’t going to stop spending because we have already shaved our expenses to save more. I have gained knowledge about money so I can pursue wealth and grow in value to leave opportunity in my legacy and a foundation for our future. So what is so different in every other household? Is it awareness? Is it lack of education? Is it lack of will? Is it lack of empathy? What are YOU doing to build wealth for your family. We aren’t perfect…we all have our worst frivolous habits. It is okay my darling! We allllll have them.
So during this so called bubble pop in the car industry lets look between the lines of emotion that our news teams wants to strike within us.The beauty of human life on this planet is with a little tweak here and there with some pursuit of knowledge there will be growth.  We are all creatures of habits. We are all sheep of information. Choose wisely which information you depend on. Lets learn from our financial mishaps. This decrease in spending from the public is okay with me because it will not change my work habits. It will not take customers away. I will continue to earn time with more customers.
Stimulate YOUR economy during this economic suffering; it is that beautiful pink think in between our ears.

DON’T GO TO ANY SALESMEN….set an appointment with an Automotive consultant that will guide you in your financial decisions not just sell you a car! This car bubble is going to separate the little boys and girls from the Men and Women!  Who is going to dig down and produce more sales and more efficiently. Some run and hide in oppression…the best get exhilarated!

Why you should look into a 2.3L 2015 Mustang?

In one of my favorite historical figures words, “I would not open windows into men’s souls.” – Queen Elizabeth

This Mustang is not for the faint at heart but also isn’t for the old school muscle car owners that havent adapted to the new generation concepts. Go ahead and blame us millenials again….no worries we will be doing the same to the punks that are a few generations under us. 😉  I feel like this is blasphemy in its self but I do have fond respect for my Ford brothers and sisters even though my heart is born and bread Chevrolet. We have this hott Mustang on our lot so I had to try it out. I am officially a retired we need V8’s in all sports cars after driving the available smaller engines that have been released by many manufactures. Seriously lets set our ego aside and have a true look into this Ford Mustang because it is red hot with only 5,500 miles and yet cool enough to use as a road trip car from day to day even in this crazy Ohio weather.

How many times have we thought about quitting?

So did it take to get you out of bed this morning? Was it your career or a job? Was it the money you need to pay the bills or the extra money you want to see in your future? We can’t pay our bills on hopes and dreams so I would totally agree it depends on the morning with how strong our mental focus is for ALL OF US! We are no different when we go to work. We all have our issues, we all have our inadequacies (which are usually what we make up in our minds,) and we all have the need to eat some food and fuel our mission. So how many times have we thought about quitting? Well according to statistics in car sales 33% of us annually do. So is it the thought that matters or the actual action that we take?
We can sit and whine about how our customers suck, how the economy sucks, and how our pipeline is dry…what if we changed our focus to sitting straight up and taking a look at our failure of making our customers happy….. “Mirror mirror on the wall who is really responsible for this all?” Someone told me recently, “You work too hard for the customer and not enough for yourself.” I about fell off my chair and stormed off in the most anger I have ever felt within myself in my career. Those are the moments that we have to keep pushing for the bigger picture. Our career is like marriage. There will be ups and downs along with round. Your commitment is to the commitment which what is what holds during tough times. After all you are not in this marriage to just settle. You are in this marriage to learn, work, and grow. So if you have moments of doubt, moments you recognize as weakness. Remember we are no different from each other. It isn’t always about the end result. Most of the time you are mid journey. Enjoy that journey. Embrace the journey and continue to pursue your journey. It’s okay to feel anger and it is needed to grow so get through it! 🙂 You’ve got this!!!

The only reason we think about quitting is when we lose sight of the vision… we lose sight of where we are going…

Why should VanDevere be your home for your next vehicle purchase?

My significant other who has been in sales industry for over 15 years is thoroughly impressed with the Dealership I represent. He came to his free buffet steak and chicken dinner that comes complementary with every vehicle purchase. He sat with other customers that had just bought their 12th vehicle with VanDevere. Naturally it initiated many moments of bragging from myself how we are a 70 year company. We are on our 4th generation owner that I am beyond ecstatic to represent with his wisdom and keen sense of where the industry is going. I represent a true family that i witness many situations going back and forth and can walk into either of the VanDevere offices to ask any questions. I may not like the answer but I will get true honest answers with no doubt in my gut of the integrity behind the words.

A little into my background is that I have done business with many car dealers representing the Youngstown area, Cleveland area, Canton area, and of course our prideful Akron area. For six years I tolerated auto brokers, buy here pay here lots, banks, and repossession agents. My reference to the car sales world was mainly, “They are a different breed of man!” Now I sit in a breed of man I respect and will serve my entire car sales career along with. The grass is not greener when I made a sound decision on where I wanted to go build my career. Building a career is like incubating and creating a child or for non parental circumstances well refer to it as a garden. When given the right nutrients your garden will be bountiful. I love representing a company that has helped me blossom in my understanding and knowledge.

So when you are in the market for a vehicle don’t just go to the place with the lowest monthly payment that by no means can legally include tax in their payment and fees that can only apply to certain parties and only on certain base vehicles. Don’t just walk in to settle for the average sales person that doesn’t understand how he should invest your money properly because he doesn’t even know how to budget his checking account. Go to the local family serving your community for the long haul beyond the profit. Go to the sales consultant that understands the depth to the money you are spending. Go to the place that has lots of reviews online because they aren’t afraid of the growth that comes with a negative review and then go back again and again and again and you will always be taken care of! 😀

Why Buy Used Vehicles?

Low Miles, One Owner, $5,000 cheaper than brand new vehicle? WHY NOT?!?!?!

When searching for a vehicle consider your personal buying profile. How many miles do you drive typically in a year? How much maintenance can you afford? Do you keep your vehicles for a long long time?

National average of vehicle ownership is 3-4 years before we are heading to the dealership to trade in or sell our old vehicles.

Buy used if you:
Drive over 15,000 Miles per year
Plan to own vehicle past paying your loan off (True Ownership, no more car payment)
Paying with Cash. (Don’t forget we still have a depreciation curve when you drive off lot!)
Can follow Recommended Maintenance Schedule (Located in your owners manual.)
Can budget once past warranties for emergency Mechanical Breakdowns (Time is money)

I Love to use this tool with my customers. It really helps us get an idea of the bigger picture long-term at hand.

It is a true cost of ownership estimator through Edmunds.com:

https://www.edmunds.com/tco.html

So in a nutshell observe the cost associated and always allot for the risk of mechanical failure! And don’t forget connect with a sales consultant that will guide and advice where they can with true piece of mind!
